Whitefish boys 2nd at Polson ABC track

The Corvallis girls and Hamilton boys snapped up team titles on Saturday at the Polson ABC Invitational track and field meet.

Corvallis, with 199 points, ran off with the girls title. Hamilton, 88, was a distant second followed by Polson, 82 1/2, Whitefish, 75 1/2, and Columbia Falls, 59.

Hamilton, 132, was one of two teams on the boys side to break the century mark in scoring. Whitefish, 115, was the other.

Corvallis, 78, was third, Polson, 68, fourth and Stevensville, 56 1/2, fifth.

There were four individuals who were double winners.

Whitefish’s Marlow Schulz had the best times in the 100 (12.57) and 400 (57.51), as did Keaton Grove in the 100 (15.6) and 300 (40.63) hurdles.

Hamilton’s Abe Westfall won the triple jump (44-6) and high jump (5-10) while Annika Moore was first in the long jump (16-6) and triple jump (35-10 1/2).
