Memorial set for couple killed in plane crash

SANDPOINT — Friends of George and Colleen Simchuk are gathering on Saturday, May 31, to remember the couple.

The memorial starts at noon at the Heartwood Center (the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church), located at 615 Oak St.

The couple died in a plane crash on April 1 near El Carrizal, Guatemala, according to published media accounts. George was 65 and Colleen was 57.
