Victims identified in fatal Ronan crash

Authorities have released the names of two women killed in a car crash outside of Ronan early Monday morning.

A citizen noticed the car containing Iva Skelton, 46, of Ronan, and Karen Jore, 56, of Ronan, upside down in the ditch beside Canyon Mill Road near its intersection with Foothills Road around 6 a.m. Monday morning, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

The cause of death is undetermined as of yet, but the car was submerged in the ditch, authorities said. Families have been notified, and the investigation is still underway.
