MATTAWA - Congratulations are in order for Alan Caro and several teammates on the Wahluke High School soccer team.

Caro, who has signed with South Puget Sound Communty College, was named the SCAC's most valuable player.

The senior goal keeper's defense (98 saves) led the Warriors to third place and the post season. That includes stopping four penalty kicks.

Joining Caro on the SCAC first team was senior forward Ramon Bravo, also headed to SPSCC. Bravo led the team offensively with 13 goals and four assists.

Making the SCAC second team were Juan Estrada and Librado Barajas. Alexis Anaya earned honorable mention.

Wahluke, which has won five state championships, had a 13-3 regular season record, and the future looks bright. There were stellar underclassmen, and the junior varsity was undefeated.
