• Strand and Sweeney awarded Performance Management Network Designation
Beth Strand and Cindy Sweeney, from Lakeshore Realty, have been awarded the Performance Management Network Designation by the Women's Council of Realtors. They will travel to Washington, D.C., to receive this award.
Women's Council of Realtors is a nationwide community of more than 19,000 real estate professionals, a network that empowers women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
• Medina named manager of Great Floors granite facility
Great Floors has selected Sarah Medina to manage the company's granite production facility in Post Falls.
Medina has been with Great Floors since 1998 in various administrative and management positions, spending the last five years at the granite facility.
"We are excited that Sarah will be heading up our granite operations at a time when we look forward to the recovery of the housing market here in the Northwest," said Ken Chadderdon, Great Floors vice president and co-owner. "She has a proven track record during her years at the company and we look forward to welcoming her to her new position."
Great Floors Post Falls granite facility located at 3293 W. Seltice Way opened in 2009 featuring state-of-the-art production equipment to service the residential, builder and commercial markets. In 2012, the Seltice location expanded its product lines adding cabinetry, plumbing fixtures and designer hardware to granite and quartz countertops and vanities. Headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Great Floors offers flooring and countertops for residential and businesses from 16 Northwest locations including showrooms in Spokane Valley, North Spokane and Coeur d'Alene.
• Peterson joins ISU-Haddock
Scott Peterson of Coeur d'Alene has joined ISU-Haddock and Associates as a commercial insurance agent. He holds an Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation. Peterson previously worked for PayneWest Insurance as a commercial sales executive.
He is a graduate of Post Falls High School and the University of Idaho. Peterson previously worked for many years at North Idaho College and in educational publishing before beginning a career in insurance. He is attending the River City Leadership Academy of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Post Falls Chamber Ambassadors, Coeur d'Alene Chamber Membership Outreach Committee and serves on the board of the Downtown Business Owners Association. He is married to Shelly and has two children, Ben and Madeline.
