Muus has hot bat for Glacier Twins

The Glacier Twins beat crosstown rival Kalispell Lakers 3-1 at the Canadian Days tournament May 16.

Twins starter Austin Robbins allowed two hits and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings. Nic Muus had a hot bat with a double and an RBI

The Twins opened with a 10-5 victory over Edmonton. Glacier then took down Sherwood Park 2-1. Tyler Murphy scored the winning run on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jonny Sapa mowed down four batters in the win.

On May 18, the Twins lost to the Spokane ‘49ers 4-0 in seven innings. Colten Parker was on the mound, gave up one hit, but didn’t get any run support.

The Twins won a doubleheader against Kootenai Valley on May 14. They won the first game 7-6 and the second 14-7. Muus went two for three in the first game and had four RBIs. In the second game, he was two for two with three RBIs. Vincent Smith went three for three as well, with three RBIs.

The Twins rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning in the first game to get the team’s first victory of the season. Smith got a hit with two outs in the bottom of the inning to bring home the winning run.

The Twins have a week off then play Butte in a doubleheader May 31.
