Warden takes two against Warriors

WARDEN - Warden softball (10-2, 18-2) ended its season with a sweep of Cle Elum-Roslyn recently.
Behind 14 strikeouts and a no-hitter by Aaliyah Enriquez, the Cougars were able to take the opener, 10-1.
Allycia Gonzales led Warden with three hits, the runs scored and a home run. Lexy Pruneda also homered in Game 1.
Cle Elum-Roslyn found some offense in the nightcap, but Warden's bats were too much for the Warriors and the Cougars pulled away, 15-8.
Enriquez was dominant from the circle and the plate, striking out 12 while hitting 3 for 5 with three RBis and a home run.
Pruneda was 4 for 6 and Brenna Whitney was 3 for 5 with two doubles.
BryLee Whitney also homered in Game 2.
The Cougars' 18-2 record is identical to last season's and the team will meet the Warriors again in the first round of the SCAC IA District Softball Tournament May 22 at home. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
