Cherie "Jean" Borley passed away peacefully at the Hospice House on May 4, 2014, surrounded by her children.

Jean was born February 18, 1936, in Spokane, Wash., to Ray and Bertha Debord. She worked many jobs throughout her life, but the one she enjoyed the most was bartending. She was a great bartender as Jean never knew a stranger.

Jean is survived by her children: Dennis (Barb) Ross, Prosser, Wash., Lorna (Bill) Baklenko, Mossyrock, Wash., Robbie Jackson, Liberty Lake, Wash., Brian Corey, Denver, Colo., and Kelly Tuntland, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; grandchildren: Michelle Ross, Jeff Ross, Scott Baklenko, Kris Baklenko, Amber Jackson, Brooke Jackson, Brianna LaTourette, Lindsey Neidig and Kristi Hanson; 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; siblings: Ray Debord, of Portland, Ore., Claudia Meikle, of Portland, Ore., Irene Cuff, of Hayden, Idaho, and special brother in-law, Jim Nogle, of Bellevue, Wash.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, with a small gathering afterwards to celebrate Jean's life.
