QUINCY - A Quincy man accused of kidnapping and beating his ex-girlfriend was arrested this week at a home near Quincy.

Roberto "Rascal" Rodriguez, 30, has been on the run since the May 3 incident. He was reportedly found at a house near Quincy by the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team and INET.

Police were reportedly watching the home Monday when Rodriguez left in a vehicle. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but Rodriguez allegedly left quickly, according to the sheriff's office.

Rodriguez eventually slowed on Road 5 Northwest, west of the Quincy Golf Course, and allegedly left the vehicle and ran. Officers found him a short time later hiding under a tree.

Rodriguez faces charges in Grant County Superior Court of first-degree kidnapping, attempted first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment, attempted residential burglary and harassment. He is currently booked into Grant County Jail.

Rodriguez's 25-year-old ex-girlfriend reportedly suffered broken bones in her face and other wounds in the alleged attack. Rodriguez allegedly broke into her Quincy home and attacked her. He then allegedly forced her to a Quincy hotel, where she was able to escape, according to police reports.

Danny L. Killen, 56, of Quincy, reportedly drove Rodriguez and the victim to the hotel from her home. He was arrested last week and charged with accomplice to first-degree kidnapping and methamphetamine possession.
