• Honshell earns Certified Wealth Strategist designation

Vice President and Financial Advisor Buddy Honshell, with D.A. Davidson & Co. in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane, has completed the intensive course work required to earn a Certified Wealth Strategist designation.

The CWS designation is awarded to financial professionals who have demonstrated an advanced understanding of the intricacies of wealth management. Earning the designation provides Honshell with the technical knowledge and critical communication skills to work effectively alongside clients on more complex wealth issues. Honshell completed intensive coursework and a full assessment to earn the designation, which is offered by the Cannon Financial Institute.

Honshell joined D.A. Davidson in November 2011 after previously working with another investment firm since 2002. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from Eastern Washington University and also has earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist professional designation.

Founded in 1935, D.A. Davidson is the largest full-service investment firm based in the greater Northwest.

• Coeur d'Alene's Part-Time Golf changes owners

Part-Time Golf, a specialty golf club repair and custom club business, is under new ownership. Fred and Nona Rick, owners for 22 years, have transferred ownership to one of their first employees, Eddie Fedele. Fedele worked for the Ricks in 1993.

The business name will remain the same, and at its current location: 6264 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene.

In their announcement of the ownership change, the Ricks thanked the community for its support of their business and "for the many friendships made throughout the years."

• Cunningham to attend regional and national meetings

NEEA is an alliance of more than 100 Northwest utilities and energy efficiency organizations working on behalf of more than 12 million energy consumers.

Representing Idaho's building and construction industry, Cunningham will also be at the Building Code Collaborative for the state of Idaho.

Cunningham will provide input and participate in discussions on various topics including code amendments, infiltration rates, fresh air ducts and whole house ventilation, and radon mitigation.

NEEA's regional initiatives deliver local benefits throughout the region. NEEA is an independent, nonprofit organization that takes a coordinated, market-based approach to efficiency programs.

Cunningham will also attend the National Association of Home Builders spring board of directors meeting in Washington, D.C. June 3-6. Cunningham is on the NAHB 50+ Housing Council's Board of Trustees. The 50+ Housing Council serves the special needs of NAHB members involved in all aspects of 50+ housing, including design, development, finance, ownership, management, and sales and marketing.
