Class B state track: Bigfork's Morley wins 1,600

BUTTE — Makena Morley of Bigfork won the 1,600-meter run on Friday at the Class B state track and field meet with a time of 4 minutes, 53.83 seconds.
She was the lone runner to break five minutes.
Bigfork’s Emily Cheroske placed second in the 400 (58.25).
Bigfork, 18 points, is third in the girls standings.
Eureka’s Emily Billow finished fourth in the discus (122-0).
Logan Morley placed second in the 3,200 (10:19.69) and was third in the 800 (2:00.61) to pace the Bigfork boys, who are in fifth place with 18 points.
Cole Jankovsky placed third in the pole vault (12-6) to lead the Eureka boys.
The meet ends today.
