Food bank starts endowment drive started

SANDPOINT — Bonner Community Food Center officials are taking steps to make sure they’re still feeding hungry families many years down the road.

With the recent establishment of an endowment fund, food bank board members and director Alice Wallace believe the framework is in place for a secure financial future. While it will take many years to build up sufficient capital and provide a stable stream of revenue, Wallace said it’s an important step toward keeping the nonprofit financially healthy.
