SANDPOINT — Two coaches with a wealth of basketball experience will be taking the reins of the Bulldog basketball programs, as Sandpoint athletic director Kris Knowles announced the hiring of new boys and girls head coaches on Friday.

Duane Ward will succeed Bill Bender as the new girls head coach, while Kent Leiss takes over for Tyler Haynes as steward of the boys program. Combined, the two coaches boast more than half a century motivating kids and drawing up plays on the sideline.
