POST FALLS POLICE

Wednesday

* Officers performed extra patrols around businesses due to recent burglaries.

* A malicious injury was reported at Seltice Way and Beck Road, where a work crew cut and damaged a fiber optic line, causing $90,000 worth of damage. The reporting party believes the damage was intentional as this is the fifth time it has happened.

* Officers responded to Woodbridge Park, where someone caused damage to the women's restroom door.

* An intoxicated driver was taken into custody without incident after being pulled over for speeding and failing to maintain his lane.

* A man called and informed dispatch that he saw a male wearing a mask and hoodie carrying a pry bar jump the fence behind Frontier Grocery and go into the mobile home park.

Thursday

* Three juvenile females were contacted at Walmart in connection to a theft that occurred Wednesday. When the girls were contacted, Post Falls Police officers determined that they had concealed merchandise on them. All three were released to their parents and are awaiting charges.

* Officers took a report for a fraudulent charge made using stolen credit cards at Walmart.

* A male was taken into custody and booked for misdemeanor driving with an invalid driver's license after a traffic stop.

COEUR d'ALENE POLICE

Tuesday

* Dispatch received a report that a Coeur d'Alene woman's car was entered sometime Monday night. When the woman went to her car Tuesday morning, she discovered that the driver's door was open and the dome light was on. The center console was torn apart, but nothing of value was missing from the vehicle.

Wednesday

* Officers contacted a Coeur d'Alene man, who told them he accidentally left his car doors unlocked last week. When he went to his car the next day, he noticed several items missing including a .22 rifle. There was no damage or any sign of forced entry to the truck.

* A woman told officers that her credit cards were stolen from the Costco parking lot. According to the report, the woman left her wallet on the seat of her car while she walked to put her shopping cart away. As she was driving away from Costco, she realized she could not find her wallet.

Thursday

* A Coeur d'Alene man reported that two 5-gallon gas cans were missing from his shop, Lake City Lawn Care. The man initially also reported a rolling tool box was stolen as well, but later found it a block south of his shop.
