Elvira Estella "Vera" Flint, 93

Elvira Estella Flint "Vera," 93, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, passed into the arms of Jesus Christ on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene. She is now singing and dancing with the angels at the throne of God.

Vera was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Yuba City, Calif., to Arthur Hanley and Estella (Wells) Hanley. She graduated high school at Elk Grove High in Elk Grove, Calif. She married Andrew E. Flint in Reno, Nev., on Sept. 15, 1940. She worked for the Selective Service in Sacramento for several years before retiring to be a homemaker. She and Andrew moved to Post Falls, Idaho, in 1976 from Pleasanton, Calif. She had been a member of the Senior Center in Post Falls and a member of the Christian Cowboy Balladeers in Rathdrum, Idaho. She had also been a member of a Red Hatter group of Post Falls, ID. Her favorite things to do were to sing and dance. When younger she did dancing contests and sang on the radio.

Vera was preceded in death by her spouse of 57 years, Andrew; her granddaughter Bette Mae Flint; son-in-law Signey Moad; and daughter-in-law, Betty Mae Flint. She is survived by her three children, Lewis S. Flint Sr., and spouse Peggy Flint, of Elk Grove, Calif., daughter Diana J. Moad, of Rathdrum, son Alan A. Flint, and spouse Barbara Flint, of Rathdrum. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. English Funeral Chapel of Post Falls is in charge of the arrangements. Please visit Elvira's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
