ROYAL CITY - Royal High volleyball, which has traveled a rough road this season, dropped matches to Connell and Burbank last week.

The Knights lost to Connell in three games. The Eagles were so dominant that there were few individual highlights for Royal.

The Knights lost to Burbank, 25-13, 25-8, 25-8, but there was some bright individual play.

Lindsey Small served 7-7 and produced three kills, six digs and two blocks. Taylor Freeman served 6-6 with two kills. Alyx Ziegler went 5-5 and made eight assists. Samantha Noftle went 3-3 and had three kills and 11 digs.

"The girls never give up, positive about what they are doing and always working to improve their volleyball skills," coach Paul Olsufka said.

Royal closes the season at Wahluke tonight. They Knights will be out to avenge a 5-game comeback win by the Warriors in the first meeting.
