On to the divisional tournament

MISSOULA – The Noxon Lady Red Devils played their way into the Western C Divisional Tournament yesterday with a big win over Philipsburg.

The match was decided in four sets with the Noxon squad seizing the initiative in the play-in match with wins in the opening two sets.

The Lady Red Devils took the first set by a score of 25-19 and went on to win the second set of the match by a score of 25-12.

Philipsburg rallied in the third frame of the evening forcing a fourth set with a tightly contested 25-23 win.

The Noxon team was able to put the victory away with a 25-18 win in the fourth set to take the match.

McKenna Krueger of Noxon was instrumental in the team’s play-in match win.

Krueger combined for 20 kills, 18 digs, six blocks and an ace in the postseason match.

Sara Webley also had a big night for the Lady Red Devils with 13 assists on the evening.

Noxon will advance to play in the Western C Divisional Tournament in Butte.

Tournament play is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, Nov. 6.
