ARFEE: Damage doesn't go away
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 1 month AGO
Coeur d’Alene police officer David Kelley deserves more than a $3.15 hourly pay cut for killing Craig Jones’ black Lab, Arfee.
While some Idaho residents make as little as $7.50 an hour, Kelley now only makes $31.02 an hour after killing an innocent animal. That’s a slap on the wrist. Kelley should not be working for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department any longer.
Adam Karp is the representation needed for Jones and Arfee. Karp has been successfully involved in cases with animal law and abuse.
Craig Jones and the late Arfee deserve every dollar that Adam Karp is fighting so hard to recover from the police and the city. I’m still wondering how a 2-year-old black Labrador protecting his owner’s property was mistaken for a “dangerous” animal through a two-inch gap in a window.
While some think that a pay cut and a lawsuit will settle the damage done to Craig Jones and Arfee, this is far from true. David Kelley has affected the entirety of the reputation of the city of Coeur d’Alene and the local police department.
