Crittenden selected to academic team

University of Montana defensive linemen Derek Crittenden has been named to the Capital One All-District Academic Team.

Selection to the team requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.33. The team is comprised of 24 players from across the nation.

Crittenden advances to the national ballot for the Capital One All-America Team, which will be announced Dec. 5.

Crittenden is a 6-3, 240-pound junior defensive end from Whitefish. He maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in chemistry.

He earned all-district academic honors last season. He has played in all nine games this season and is 14th on the squad with 15 tackles.
