Fiddlin' Red just fine with old-time

SANDPOINT — “Let's see,” said Fiddlin' Red Simpson from behind the counter of his hole-in-the-wall music shop in downtown Sandpoint. “I know I have a G string for a violin here somewhere.”
After thumbing through a stack of colorful packets, he hands the correct string to the parents of a young fiddler in need. They make their purchase in cash — Simpson doesn't take plastic — and head for the door of Fiddlin' Red Music just as two more customers make their entrance.
