VETS: Honors aren't fleeting

In response to your editorial Sunday on veterans, you really hit the nail on the head. There are two stores that I know of that give discounts year-round to the military. All you have to do is show your military ID card. I would like to thank those two stores as they truly appreciate veterans. Thank you Lowes and Battery Plus for your appreciation.

There are other stores probably that offer discounts for veterans but only on certain things or they think they do a service to us by giving us reserved parking spots, but most of the time those parking spots are taken up by businesses. Thanks again for military appreciation.

I am retired Navy.
