POST FALLS - Both drivers in last Thursday's road rage incident on westbound Interstate 90 at Post Falls face felony aggravated assault charges.
Idaho State Police sought witnesses of the incident due to conflicting accounts from the drivers and released the drivers' names and charges on Wednesday.
Jeremy A. Leppert, 27, Spokane Valley, the driver of a 2002 Dodge Stratus; and Benjamin A. Nelson, 34, Post Falls, the driver of a 2010 Chrysler 300, face charges. Neither were injured. Both vehicles were damaged.
"The original incident began when one vehicle was tailgating the other," police reported. "The drivers became agitated and one vehicle rammed the other vehicle. They began to side-swipe each other while traveling westbound on Interstate 90 during the morning commute."
