The woman who died at the scene of a house fire near Lakeside on Thursday has been identified as Beatrice Helen Clark, 41.
Clark’s body was taken to the Montana State Medical Examiner for an autopsy on Thursday, according to a press release from Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.
The cause of the fire — and Clark’s cause of death — are still being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
The original fire call was received at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday when the Somer-Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from the home at 150 Conrad Point Road.
Firefighters initially extinguished the fire but it reignited later Thursday morning.
That brought firefighters back to the scene. The fire was completely extinguished at 10:30 a.m.
A dog also died in the fire.
