SANDPOINT — A new piece of artwork is set to honor the legacy of late attorney and prominent community member Jeff Jones.

A city attorney and prominent figure in Coeur d’Alene’s fight against white supremacist demonstrations, Jones passed away in 2003 at age 53 from a heart attack during a bike ride. Ever the enthusiastic bicyclist, Jones’ passions and work are set to be honored with a new piece of artwork to be installed in Jeff Jones Town Square. The Sandpoint Arts Commission is seeking bids for the project, which are due by Dec. 31.
