ANNIVERSARY

Ed and Ruth Chase

65th Anniversary

Ed and Ruth Chase, of Post Falls, will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary Nov. 19, 2014. They were married Nov. 19, 1949.

Ed worked as a truck driver and Ruth worked as a singer and musician. They are both retired.

They have four children: Tony, Dan, Kathy and Lonnie; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

ENGAGEMENT

LaPlant-Hampton

Angela LaPlant of Post Falls and James LaPlant of Hayden are pleased to announce the engagement their daughter, Jamie Spencer LaPlant of Hayden to David Alexander Hampton of Post Falls, son of Craig and Liane Hampton of Hayden.

Jamie graduated from Timberlake High School in 2012. She is employed by Knudtsen Chevrolet. David graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2009 and is enlisted in the Army National Guard, HHC 145th BSB. He is employed by the United States Postal Service.

The couple will be united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Faith Presbyterian Church in Hayden.

BIRTHS

Fabian Octavio Hernandez-Hobbs was born at 12:36 p.m. Nov. 9, 2014, to Martha Patricia Hernandez and Michael Frayer Hobbs of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 19 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Patricia Hernandez and William Martinez. Paternal grandparents are Tania Allen and Sean Jessie.

Cashton Kyle Kirk was born Nov. 5, 2014, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene to Chantelle Marisha Turner-Kirk and Casey Allen Kirk of Post Falls. He weighed 9 pounds 7 ounces. Brother is Brody Devon Stroud, 5. Maternal grandparents are Steve and Cammy Turner of Hayden. Paternal grandparents are Connie and Randy Kirk of Hayden. Great-grandparents are Bill and Pat Turner, Theresa and Greg Abernathy, and Gib Blankenship.

Marina Charlotte Myers was born at 6:43 p.m. Oct. 28, 2014, to Bernadette Chiappe-Myers and Jason D. Myers of Hayden. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.75 inches long. Sister is Alessandra. Maternal grandparents are Alessandro and Georgette Chiappe. Paternal grandparents are Danette and H.C. Studer, and Bob and Cheryl Myers.

Jaspyn James Koppa was born at 5:11 a.m. Oct. 25, 2014, to Jenna and Kolton Koppa. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Ronald and Edith Erickson. Paternal grandparents are Robert and Jeanna Koppa.

Jace Riley Heninger was born at 11:34 p.m. July 30, 2014, to Stormy and Riley Heninger of Athol. He weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches long. Brother is Bailey Heninger. Maternal grandparents are Rick Moyes and Gail Menne. Paternal grandparents are Bill Heninger and Carey Johns.

MISSIONARIES

Nathan Tyrell Taggart, 18, of Post Falls, received his call to serve a two-year mission to the Toronto, Canada, Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Taggart is the son of Trent and Donna Taggart, also of Post Falls. He will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Nov. 19 to prepare for this Spanish speaking mission.

Nathan plays saxophone and is an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Post Falls High School this year and has also attended North Idaho College.

Brian Stuart Langdon, 24, of Coeur d'Alene, has been called to serve for two years in the Phoenix, Ariz., Mission. His parents are James Allen Langdon of Coeur d'Alene and Lisa Jean Irving of Hayden. Elder Langdon will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Dec. 17.

Brian is an Eagle Scout and a 2009 graduate of Lake City High School. He graduated in 2012 from ITT Tech in Spokane Valley with his associate's degree in computer networking systems. He presently works for Kimball Office.
