A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office on Monday to report that an inflatable turkey was stolen from the front of her U.S. 2 East business last week. She reached out via Facebook to see if anyone knew what had happened to the turkey, and someone told her that a man named Damien had stolen it. However, Damien had been arrested on Sunday. The woman checked with the arresting officers, who said that an inflatable turkey was not in Damien’s possession when he was arrested.
A Whitefish real estate agent had a gun pointed at her when she was showing a house on Prairie View Road on Saturday because the neighbors thought she was trespassing.
A woman called saying her daughter was driving on U.S. 2 East about three or four miles north of Coram and had hit a moose. A bystander put the moose out of its misery, and a local food bank came to collect the animal so it would be put to good use.
A Kalispell woman called police because her husband smokes cigars in the house and it is making her sick, and she didn’t know what to do.
A man was seen sleeping on the front deck of a Montana 35 bar around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
A Columbia Falls man reported a DeWALT portable air compressor and a number of other items stolen from his job site on Trumble Creek Road in Columbia Falls.
A Kalispell woman reported receiving 30 calls from a restricted number Sunday night. She was pretty sure it was her ex-boyfriend.
A strange message was left on a Kalispell person’s voicemail Monday morning. The phone call came from a restricted number, and the message was about nine seconds long and said, “John, I can’t go through with it. I’m going to the police.”
A “pregnant-looking” cat was seen hanging out in an unfinished construction site in Bigfork. The feline wouldn’t let anyone near her.
Road rage was reported on Woodland Park Drive in Kalispell on Monday when a suburban was following another vehicle too closely, then pursued the vehicle to its location and got out and yelled at the other driver.
A corporate employee from Helena called police about another employee stealing from one of the company’s Kalispell gas stations.
Kalispell Police were called when a man arrived at his First Avenue West home Monday to find that it had been burglarized. The back door was smashed in and the lock was broken, but he wasn’t immediately sure if anything was missing.
A 20-inch black bicycle was found abandoned in Woodland Park.
A large black-and-white fluffy dog was playing in traffic on U.S. 93 North on Monday.
Someone called police with “general questions about driver’s licenses and stuff.”
A man dressed in dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt attempted to break into a car on Seventh Street West on Monday night. His plan was foiled when the car alarm went off and the hooded hoodlum took off running.
A hotel clerk called police after a patron said that a man was overdosing in the hotel room and there was also a baby staying there. He reportedly took pain pills, muscle relaxants and diabetic medications and was bleeding from his face.
A 5-year-old child told her stepmother that there is a lot of drinking, drugs and fighting that go on at her mother and stepfather’s home.
A man reported that his neighbors on the east side of Kalispell deal drugs out of their apartment.
Another drug complaint was received from a Windward Way apartment building. The woman who called said that someone was smoking pot and the smell was so strong you could smell it in the hallway and outside of the building. An officer walked through the building and didn’t smell anything.
The Whitefish Police Department received a report of a group of people who believed they were drugged at a bar on Thursday night. They were awaiting results of toxicology reports.
