EH council OKs no-conflict finding

EAST HOPE — Councilwoman Eileen Klatt has been cleared to participate in rezoning discussions after the city’s legal counsel concluded she did not have a conflict of interest in the matter.

The City Council voted 3-0 on Tuesday to adopt the attorney’s finding that Klatt can take part in rezone discussions despite being married to a Realtor who some argue would benefit from changes to the city’s land-use rules.
