Here comes the storm

Oh, Millie.

While we respect your right to speak out enough to have published your letter to the editor on Sunday, we were not at all surprised at the backlash of letters to the editor that immediately flowed into the newspaper and others posted as comments on cdapress.com.

Some readers have graciously speculated that the letter was penned tongue in cheek. Most, though, don't give it so much credit. Like another Post Falls writer recently complaining about train noise near the home he bought, and his determination to leave North Idaho far, far behind, this latest complaint has been met with a chorus of support - support for an early and permanent departure.

Post Falls, Kootenai County and North Idaho are far from perfect. But the vast majority of us choose to live here because we appreciate the many bounties the region and its people offer.

For the others? Rip at your own risk.
