Wildkats named all-state in soccer

Three Columbia Falls juniors on the Wildkat soccer team recently received all-state honors. Tavia Bechtel played midfield, and Lexi Strouse and Sidney Grilley played in the backfield. The three also received all-conference honors.

Others named all-conference included juniors Katie Hawes, Katie Price and Ellie Johnson and sophomore Kendra King.

Hawes and King played in the backfield, while Price and Johnson were forwards. Johnson led the team this year in assists.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
