Register now for Hangover Handicap
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 10 years, 2 months AGO
COEUR d'ALENE - Get your running shoes ready for one of the region's most fun - and healthy - holiday events.
Registration is now open for the 38th annual Hangover Handicap 5-Mile Fun Run on New Year's Day. The event is a traditional community gathering that also benefits Tesh Inc., a local nonprofit which assists children and adults with disabilities.
Participants can register now at teshinc.com. Early registrants paying $25 receive a long-sleeved neon green T-shirt. For $15, runners can participate without buying a T-shirt. An early bird special - $22, including a T-shirt - is available now through Dec. 7.
Before and after the fun run, participants are given fruit, energy bars, water, coffee or hot chocolate. Many runners gather afterward in a heated tent.
All proceeds from the Hangover Handicap benefit Tesh Inc., a Coeur d'Alene 501(c)(3) not-for-profit which has been providing choices and opportunities to children and adults with disabilities since 1976. Tesh's core mission is to provide those seeking greater independence, self-sufficiency, and participation in their community the life and work skills needed to succeed.
