COEUR d'ALENE - "Memories with Mary Lou," a musical salute to America's veterans, will be performed Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene.
This program features Mary Lou Dion, a local favorite jazz pianist, who will play the pre-show music starting at 6:45 p.m. She will be joined by vocalists Callie Mckinney Cabe, Charles Sorenson, Julie Powell, Michael Grabenstein, Jenner Davis and others. The Post Falls Middle School choir, under the direction of Rebecca Vellucci, and students Ally Gibbs and Jordan Gibbs, will also perform. Refreshments will be served and donations will be accepted at the door.
This annual Veterans Day program is sponsored by VETTE Corporation, a nonprofit Idaho organization dedicated to helping build new homes for severely disabled and combat-disabled veterans. VETTE Corporation is donating materials and labor toward these projects and the proceeds from this show will support the programs as well.
A $10 donation is requested for admission to "Memories with Mary Lou," but veterans and their honored guests are invited to attend free of charge.
