The Glacier Wolfpack had a parade to Legends Stadium on Friday, and they probably will have an even bigger parade next week after winning the state championship in Class AA football for the first time in the school history.
Glacier High School, ending its season undefeated at 13-0, convincingly throttled the C.M. Russell Rustlers of Great Falls at Legends Stadium by a final score of 56-19.
The outcome was seemingly never in doubt as the Wolfpack rose to the occasion and excelled on both sides of the line.
They shut down the state’s top runner and ran over the CMR defense en route to the overwhelming triumph.
The Wolfpack victory gives Kalispell its first state championship since 1970, when the undefeated Flathead Braves were crowned champs.
