MILLIE: Hot air in California

Borders are open. This is to the attention of Millie Hayes. In response to your missing California, please note the following:

1. The Idaho borders are wide open.

2. I’ll take snow over earthquakes. Winds? How about the winds that blow fires out of control?

3. One of the top hospitals is located here in Coeur d’Alene; look in the yellow pages of the telephone book and you will find numerous caregivers. I had numerous health plans to choose from and I am 100 percent satisfied with my plan.

4. If you work in Washington, why not move there?

5. Stores: You forgot to mention Macy Department Store. And Super 1? Each time I shop at Super 1 the entire working staff there treat me as if I am the only one shopping there even though they don’t know me by name. The parking lot for Super 1 is always full, so they must be doing something good.

Now, the following hopefully will help you get back to California. First start by taking route 95, pick up I-90 west; from there pick up 395 to Kennewick, from there pick up I-182 to I-84 to Portland. Once you get to Portland, pick up I-5, which will take you to California, all the way to the Mexican border. Hasta la vista!

Oh, by the way, the Spokane Airport is only about 45 minutes away from Post Falls, so you could fly from there to anywhere in California.
