Bus driver sentenced for crash

CALDWELL (AP) - A former southwest Idaho school bus driver involved in a crash that killed an 11-year-old student has been sentenced to 200 hours of community service or 30 days in jail.
Debra Boatwright, 56, received the sentence Monday in 3rd District Court after pleading guilty to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
The Idaho State Police says Boatwright was at fault for a Dec. 5 collision with a dump truck that killed sixth-grader Daniel Cook and inured four other children.
Police say Boatwright failed to yield at a stop sign before pulling into an intersection.
Boatwright also received two years of probation and had her driver's license revoked for one year.
