• ActiveWest Builders to receive six NAHB Awards

Three ActiveWest communities in Kootenai County are finalists in six different categories for either a Gold or Silver Award from the National Association of Homebuilders.

Meadow Ranch, a 55-plus active adult community is a finalist for Best Recognition of Sustainable Features. All of the homes are Energy Star certified and LEED-Homes, primarily Platinum, certified via the US Green Building Council. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. Also, NAHB selected the 800-square-foot, 1-story town home duplex in Meadow Ranch as a finalist in the Best Attached Home up to 1,800-square-foot category.

Riviera Walk, a new ActiveWest community in Riverstone, and The Circuit @ Seltice are both finalists for "Best for Sale" On the Boards and "Best Detached Home" on the Boards.

Dennis Cunningham, president of ActiveWest Builders and his wife, Sharon Cunningham, director, sales and marketing, and a real estate agent with Windermere, and their son Dalton Cunningham, also a Windermere agent, will attend the awards banquet at the NAHB National Show in Vegas in January.

• Trindera hires Wickwire

Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm with offices in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane announced the recent hiring of Jeff Wickwire as IT help desk technician. Wickwire is located in Trindera Engineering's Coeur d'Alene office.

Wickwire holds an Associate of Applied Science, Computer Specialist degree from Spokane Falls Community College. He has more than five years of experience providing technical support, most recently at Coldwater Creek in Coeur d'Alene.
