Ray L. Morrison, 78, of Hayden, Idaho, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 18, 2014, at Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene.

Ray was born in Seattle, Wash. on Sept. 14, 1936, and was raised in Missoula, Mont. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for eight years as fire control for the big guns on the ship.

Ray's hobbies were making wood cars with his friends which were sent to children in Nepal and other third world countries, camping and playing cards with his devoted friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Morrison of Missoula, Mont., and Leah Lechner of Ashley, N.D., and his brother, Bob Morrison.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sandra; three brothers: Clyde and Rose Morrison, Monte and Barbara Morrison, Gary and Vicki Morrison; six children: Marge Barnes of Cut Bank, Mont., LeLoni Morrison of Missoula, Mont., Bradley Morrison of Missoula, Mont., Christi Rodda of Kennewick, Wash., Laurie and Clay Wipple of Pasco, Wash., and Kimberly Miller of Benton City, Wash.; 14 grandchildren: Jessica, Kayla, Kelly, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Tyler, Megan, Amy, Brittiny, Alyssa, Kirstin, Jacob, Jesse, and Jayden; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ray's memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho. A luncheon reception will immediately follow the service.
