DESERT AIRE - Before spending all of your Christmas money on so-called Black Friday, the ladies of Cozy Comforts of South Grant County ask you to save the date for Colorful Saturday.

Colorful Saturday, Dec. 6, is the day of the Cozy Comforts Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale. If you attend, you'll be supporting the group's ongoing effort of kindness toward children in crisis from Othello to Yakima.

Cozy Comforts makes comfort blankets which are given to children who, for any reason - fire, accident, crime - end up with law enforcement or emergency services. Cozy Comforts delivers to the agencies, and they deliver to the children.

The bazaar and bake sale features hand-made, home-made items by these same women and gift packages arranged by them. Any purchase you make will support the cause.

The bazaar will go from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It will be held at the Sagebrush Senior Center. There will be a chicken noodle soup-half sandwich-dessert lunch for $5.

In addition to on-going sales, the bazaar raffle will have many gifts, including baskets of gift cards and bottles of Milbrandt and Ginkgo Forest wines.

The silent auction will have such items as a peppermint candy afghan with pillow, gift baskets and Seahawks slippers.
