WENATCHEE - Teenagers from Quincy and Royal were among six people injured 11 miles east of here on Highway 28 on Friday, Nov. 21, when their car crossed the center line and crashed with an on-coming car.

According to the Washington State Patrol, neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor. At least four of the persons involved were using their seat belts. Seat belt use for the other two was unknown.

Oscar J. Ramirez, 18, of Quincy was the driver of a 1999 Toyota Camry. His passenger was Julian San German, 18, of Royal City. Ramirez was taken by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital (CWH). San German went to Sacred Heart Hospital by ambulance.

The Ramirez vehicle, eastbound on 28 crossed the center line, the WSP said. Head-on, it struck a westbound 2001 Honda Accord driven by Armando R. Juarez, 38, of Wenatchee. Both cars were impounded.

Juarez was transported to Central Washington Hospital. Three passengers, Benito Juarez, 40, Cari M. Ayala, 42, Juan M. Juarez, 38, all of Wenatchee, were taken to CWH.

Ramirez was cited for "driving too fast for conditions.'
