HOT SPRINGS – The Lady Savage Heat volleyball team took on the Superior Lady Bobcats to kick off homecoming weekend in Hot Springs.

The match was decided in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-14 in favor of Superior.

The Lady Savage Heat offense was led by some of the team’s veteran leadership.

Both senior Josey Carr and junior Pia Heggelund sparked the team’s offense throughout the evening’s match.

Carr and Heggelund ended the night with three kills each. Carr earned an ace from the serving line and Heggelund was awarded four.

Hot Springs combined for 12 kills, two blocks, 31 digs, nine assists and five aces on the night.

Hot Springs is now 1-5 on the year.

Up next for Hot Springs will be a match on the road opposing the St. Regis Tigers.
