EPHRATA - Still waiting on its new pool, Moses Lake girls swim hosted Eastmont in Ephrata recently.

The Chiefs used their depth to hand the Wildcats their second loss in as many meets, 106-80.

Moses Lake (4-1) scored 24 crucial points after winning the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Anna Fair scored a win in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 32.67 seconds - a full 13 seconds faster than second place Brooklyn Tucker, of Eastmont (4-2, 4-3).

Jalen Garza continued the momentum of Fair's win with a win of her own in the 50 yard freestyle. Garza posted a time of 28.10 seconds.

Heather Carbon was edged for the first time all season in the 1 meter dive. Carbon scored 262.45 points, finishing second to Eastmont's Ali Pierce who scred 273.60 points.

Fair recorded her second win of the day in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1 minute, 4.82 seconds.

Garza also nabbed two events when she placed first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1 minute, 3.36 seconds.

Jordan Richeson rounded out the individual winners for the Chiefs after she took first place in the 100 yard backstroke, edging her teammate Hailey Tolliver.

Moses Lake will swim in the Mukilteo Invite this weekend before resuming its Columbia Basin Big Nine schedule Oct. 7 at Eisenhower.

Head coach Tony St. Onge and the Chiefs hope to have their true home opener Oct. 9 against the Cadets.
