PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Taylor guides T-Wolves past Hawks in three

COEUR d'ALENE - Natalie Taylor had 15 kills and six aces to lead the Lake City Timberwolves past the Lakeland Hawks 25-12, 25-13, 25-17 in a nonleague match on Thursday night.
CC Cates had 24 digs, Brittany Gay 35 assists, Nina Carlson two blocks and Shelby Johnson three aces for Lake City (9-6).
Haley Rotchford had six kills, two blocks, six digs and three aces, Hailey Tierney 14 digs and Kinsey Howk 13 digs for Lakeland (4-11).
Both teams compete in the Linda Sheridan Crossover Classic today and Saturday in Spokane.

POST FALLS - Lydea Schneider had 11 assists for the Trojans in a 21-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-17, 15-9 win against the Sandpoint Bulldogs at The Arena.
Allison Munday had six kills and five blocks, Amanda Westlake six kills, Jasmine Haskew and Brook Gomer five aces each and Cassidy Jackson four blocks for Post Falls (8-10) against Sandpoint.
Later, Munday had seven kills for the Trojans in a 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 loss to Skyview of Nampa.
Mackenzie Morris had five kills, Schneider 11 assists, Haskew four aces and six digs and Westlake seven digs for Post Falls (8-11), which competes in the Linda Sheridan Crossover Classic today and Saturday in Spokane.

SPIRIT LAKE - Matraca Rocheleau had 23 assists to lead the Tigers past the Wampus Cats 26-24, 25-17, 25-9 in a nonleague match.
Katie Malloy had six kills, Shea Dretke seven kills, Kiara Hauck nine digs and Jamie Lickfold four aces for Timberlake (5-10), which competes in the Pea and Lentil Spikeoff on Saturday at Genesee.
Clark Fork (4-10) hosts Priest River on Monday.

COEUR d'ALENE - Kari Ghramm had 13 kills for the Lumberjacks in a 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 Central Idaho League win against the Panthers at Holy Family Catholic School.
Kelsey Auer had 33 assists and Catherine Flach had seven digs for St. Maries (8-9, 3-1 CIL), which competes in the Linda Sheridan Crossover Classic today and Saturday in Spokane.
"It was a great match," Coeur d'Alene Charter coach Tera Armstrong said. "The girls are getting better and better each time out and getting closer to beating St. Maries. We're excited about the progress they're making."
Anna Verhaeghe had six kills and three blocks, Stephanie Kociela six digs and two aces and Jackie Callahan 11 assists for Coeur d'Alene Charter (5-10, 0-4), which travels to Kootenai on Tuesday.

WALLACE - Morgan Hill had four kills, four digs and three aces for the Miners in a 25-12, 23-25, 25-11, 22-25, 15-7 North Star League win over the Warriors.
Grace McInturff had 10 kills and Madison Napierala had 13 assists for Kootenai (2-8, 2-3 NSL), which hosts Coeur d'Alene Charter on Tuesday.
Shelby Majszak had 12 kills, five digs and nine aces for Wallace (8-2, 5-0), which visits Mullan next Thursday.

PLUMMER - Cailyn Dohrman had 10 kills and three blocks, keying the Knights to a 26-24, 25-18, 17-25, 25-21 win over the Tigers in a North Star League match.
"The girls really dug deep and played well," Lakeside co-coach Karyn Stockdale said. "We had excellent net coverage and defense. Our teamwork shined."
Talia Hendrickx had three kills, 22 assists and five aces, Rachael Arthur four kills, 11 digs and three aces, Lillian Rhea seven kills and three aces for Lakeside (2-9 2-4 NSL), which competes in the Potlatch tournament on Saturday.
Mullan (6-2, 4-1) hosts Wallace on Tuesday.

COCOLALLA - Katelyn Stegman had 10 kills and 16 assists for the Royals in a 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-12 Mountain Christian League loss to the Kootenai Thunder at Cocolalla Base Camp.
Illysa Emerson had eight digs for North Idaho Christian (8-3, 6-3 MCL), which hosts The Oaks on Monday at Venture High.
Kootenai Thunder is 8-0 in league play.
