Lizbeth Dee Magden, 56

Lizbeth Dee Magden, 56, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on Sept. 30, 2014, at Kootenai Health. She was born on Nov. 2, 1957, in New Britain, Conn. Lizbeth was preceded in death by her parents, Harold S. Bacon Sr., Margaret (Wilkins) Bacon and a brother, Harold S. Bacon Jr.

Lizbeth grew up in New Britain where she attended school. She graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical School in 1975 with a degree in fashion design. In 1984 she married Rick Magden with whom she had two children - a son, Raymond J. (wife Megan) Magden and daughter Michelle J. Bergeron - both residing in Omaha, Neb. Rick and Lizbeth were divorced in 1997.

Lizbeth is also survived by her grandson, Dominick J. Bergeron of Omaha to whom she was devoted, four brothers Walter B. Bacon of Nashua, N.H., Stephen A. Bacon and wife Elizabeth of El Paso, Texas, Gregory F. Bacon Sr. and wife Elizabeth (Beth) of Post Falls, and Jeffrey L. Bacon and wife Cindy of Bristol, Conn.; three nephews and four nieces. She also had Emma Thomson and her son, Zachary (whom she thought of as a daughter and grandson).

She worked as a security officer and factory worker until becoming disabled. She then devoted herself to helping family and friends as much as she could. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and helping the local DAV Chapter No. 9 with their Christmas wrapping program. After moving to Post Falls in 2005 she became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Post Falls.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3579 E. 16th Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854 or to the Disabled American Veterans - Ft. Sherman No. 9, 2536 W. Falling Star Loop, Post Falls, ID.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1824 E. 16th Ave., Post Falls. Viewing at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m. Bell Tower Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
