MOSES LAKE - Big Bend Community College will sponsor its Fall Hiring Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at the ATEC building.

The "hiring event" is similar to the spring Job and Career Fair, but much smaller, said Debbie Correll, event coordinator.

"This year's exhibitors include both retailers and manufacturers, and some of them are hiring for the upcoming holiday season," Correll said. Even though it's smaller than the April job fair, there are about 30 confirmed exhibitors, Correll said.

They include SGL Automotive Carbon Fiber, BBSI, Cascade Agronomics, Columbia Colstor and Frito-Lay.

Other exhibitors are Odessa Memorial Healthcare, Summerwood Alzheimer's Special Care Center, H&R Block, Fastenal, Sonico, Starbucks, Safeway and Ross Dress for Less. Columbia Basin Health Association and ResCare Home Care will have booths, and so will Lamb Weston/BSW ConAgra Foods, SVZ-USA and Grant County Radio. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local, IBEW No. 191, will have an information booth. The Army National Guard will have a booth.

Heritage University will have representatives, and so will the BBCC aviation maintenance program and the college's computer science program.

SkillSource, WorkSource, DSHS and Washington Parks and Recreation Commission will have booths. People who want more information can contact Correll at deborahc@bigbend.edu or 509-793-2116.
