Whitefish and Polson played to another tie, this time scoreless, in Northern A soccer action last Thursday. The two teams battled to a 2-all outcome back on Sept. 16.
It was the first time in O’Brien Byrd’s 12 years of coaching at Whitefish that his Bulldogs finished in a scoreless tie.
“They find a way to frustrate us,” Byrd said of the Polson Pirates.
“They do a great job of getting behind the ball. It threw off our game, plain and simple. Give credit to Polson ... they did it again.”
Whitefish had 10 shots on goal during the match. Keeper Haven Gunderson made four saves for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are 6-2-2 overall and 4-0-2 in league play.
Whitefish was at Bigfork on Tuesday. The Bulldogs play at Columbia Falls Saturday.
