Call a taxi, not 911 for a ride

A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for a ride around 5 a.m. Wednesday. She was advised not to call 911 for rides. 

A man was reported passed out in a vehicle on Arbour Drive West in Kalispell. He was having a medical issue and his mother came to pick him up. 

A set of tires were stolen sometime over the weekend from Trumble Creek Road. 

Another llama was on the loose on U.S. 93 North near Kalispell on Tuesday morning. 

Another set of tires were stolen off of a pickup truck parked on U.S. 2 East. The truck was placed on blocks, according to the caller. 

A big plume of smoke was spotted near U.S. 2 East on Tuesday morning, but it was a controlled burn. 

Someone drove off with $114 worth of fuel from a Columbia Falls gas station Tuesday morning. 

A Kalispell woman calling from Edgewood Drive reported that a handful of nails were thrown on her driveway. 

A man called police saying he had paid another man $1,000 for wood which was never delivered, and the man was refusing to answer his phone Tuesday. 

A caller reported hearing repeated gunshots on Parkview Drive in Kalispell on Tuesday afternoon. 

A dog chased a cat on Moon Lake Road on Sunday, and the owner of the cat reportedly shot and injured the dog. 

Four tires were slashed on a Columbia Falls vehicle parked on Saint Andrews Drive. 


The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on aggravated DUI charges Tuesday afternoon. 


Whitefish Police received a report of an employer writing bad payroll checks from a Central Avenue location Tuesday morning. 

A man darted a bear on Houston Drive on Tuesday evening. 

A neighbor boy assaulted another boy, and when his mother went to speak to the other boy’s mother, she was assaulted as well. 

A group of people were seen sleeping in a vehicle on Texas Avenue on Tuesday morning. 


Someone reported to the Kalispell Police Department that they were assaulted at work and fired from a Third Avenue East business Tuesday. 

Two dogs got into a fight on Hutton Ranch Road. Both were injured, according to the caller. 

Someone spray-painted a blue pickup with red paint on Third Avenue West North on Tuesday. 

A woman reported that her Windward Way home was burglarized. 

An intoxicated man was seen sleeping near Woodland Avenue. 

A man stopped by the police department to talk to officers about his sister being over-served at a bar. 

A man stole a Red Bull from a Third Avenue East North business early Wednesday morning. 

Police were called when a man named “Rambo” was urinating on a First Avenue West building around 3 a.m. Wednesday. 

Two women were seen shoplifting at a Third Avenue East North business.
