Marquardt starting for Williston

MISSOULA – Polson grad Tina Marquardt, who played third base for Polson through 2013, played first base for Williston State College at the Griz Fall Classic at the Frenchtown on Saturday.
In a 15-0 victory over Columbia Basin College, Marquardt went 5-6 with a 2-RBI home run. She also scored twice
In a 10-1 loss to UM, Marquardt was one of the bright spots in singular fashion, going 3-3, all singles. All totaled, she went 7-8 for a .875 average.
Kalispell Glacier grad Hannah Atlee, is playing volleyball and softball for Williston.
Atlee has posted 155 kills thus far this season with 20 solo blocks and another 58 block assists.
Williston State also features another pair of Montanans: Jalen Creech out of Billings West and Haley Pardy out of Helena Capital.

At Simms, the visiting Vikings (3W) found themselves at the base of a 26-0 halftime chasm against the host Tigers (2N), but were able to stem the bleeding by applying some strategic triage coupled with a scoring onslaught of their own making.
