Bette Ewert, 74, passed away peacefully Sept. 28, 2014.

She was born March 5, 1940, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Harry and Gladys Dunn and raised with three siblings, Kathleen White, Mary Fiske and Robert Dunn.

Bette had a love for hockey, baseball, birds and roses.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ray Ewert; and her children and their spouses, Charmaine and Neal Langford, Myrna Bragg, Carmen Munson and Mike Wallace, Cammy and John Thomas, and Ray Ewert Jr. Over the years Bette was blessed with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren for whom she always kept a freezer stocked full of Schwann’s ice cream.

A service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Highland Lutheran Church in La Center, Washington.

Arrangements are by Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home.
