SANDPOINT — It’s been a year of big changes for Sandpoint Fire Department and Sagle Fire District.

For one thing, both are experiencing the newness that comes under the leadership of new fire chief Ron Stocking. Under the new shared service arrangement that splits Stocking’s time between Sandpoint and Sagle, the two fire districts are anticipating a new era of cooperation in the future.

Sagle and Sandpoint firefighters are inviting the community to experience the changes for themselves — along with some fun games, food and activities — at an open house set for Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Sandpoint Fire Department.
