SPOKANE - Former Lake City High standout Alec Johnson scored on an assist from Jacob Kraut in the 90th minute as the North Idaho Cardinals rallied past the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch 3-2 on Wednesday night in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Division game at Spokane Falls Community College.
"The start of the second half, it was back and forth, then we went flat," NIC coach Ken Thompson said. "Guys weren't getting to the ball, getting hesistant. They got their goal with 16 minutes to go, and we mixed things up a bit."

"I'm glad they didn't settle for the tie," Thompson said. "I told Brady to get forward and it really brought everyone to life."

"We had several crosses in front of the goal in the last 15 minutes," NIC coach Dan Hogan said. "But no one was able to get on the end of it and put the ball in the net."
