Schweitzer Crossing project nears completion

PONDERAY — There aren’t too many properties that offer the potential for a relaxing park, retail stores, restaurants and hotels within a 20-acre chunk of land.

Nevertheless, that’s exactly what GVD Commercial Properties has planned for a new development located at the northwest corner of Schweitzer Cutoff Road and U.S. 95. Known as the Schweitzer Crossing project, the property — now a year into development — promises to add a diverse chunk of businesses to Ponderay.

“This is going to be a nice, mixed-used property for the Sandpoint-Ponderay area,” said GVD vice president Ryan Goodell
